Mold/Moisture Assessment Testing & Reporting

Mold Assessments include visual assessments of all aspects of properties to detect potential excess moisture and mold. Multimedia samples are collected in suspect areas and sent to a third party certified laboratory. The lab results are analyzed and interpreted in a Mold Assessment Report.  Reporting includes pictures, of suspect areas, data interpretation and recommendations on mold removal and moisture issue corrections.

Radon Measurement Assessment & Reporting

atomRadon is an odorless, colorless radioactive gas that can become trapped in structures and penetrate the lungs causing lung cancer.  EPA states that every home should be tested for radon gas levels however; Rincon Shale has the highest radon gas levels. Summerland California which sits on Rincon shale bedrock has some of the highest radon levels in the nation. For more information on radon, visit http://www.epa.gov/radon.

Asbestos and Lead Surveys Assessments & Testing

Asbestos was prevalent in building materials prior to 1981 used for thermal insulation, surfacing and bonding materials, (roofing, mastics, wall joint compound, acoustic ceilings and walls) and floor and ceiling tiles.

Prior to disturbing potential asbestos containing materials, Health & Safety standards require asbestos testing.

Lead paint was banned in 1978; however, many structures still have lead paint and imported consumer products contain lead at hazardous levels.

EPA implemented the Renovation, Repair & Painting (RRP) Rule. All contractors must become trained in lead safe practices prior to disturbance of pre 1978 structures.
